Prospective Students

 

Enterprise:

The Dental Prosthesis Program, which was established in the 1984-1985 academic year and provided education within the Vocational School, was transferred to the Vocational School of Health Services in the 1990-1991 academic year.

Degree Awarded:

Graduates who successfully complete the program are awarded an associate degree diploma in the field of Dental Prosthesis Technology and receive the title of Dental Prosthesis Technician.

Admission and Registration Requirements:

Students are accepted with the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) Y-TYT score.

Rules on the Recognition of Prior Learning:

Students studying at our university may be exempt from some courses within the framework of certain regulations. If the course content is approved by the school administrative board and applied within the deadline, students may be exempted from the specified courses.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations:

Completion of 120 ECTS credits (2010 curriculum), completion of 125 ECTS credits (2014 curriculum) and a minimum GPA of 2.00

Program Profile:

In the program, Dental Prosthesis Technicians, who are assistant dentistry staff, are trained. Graduates of our program work as a team with dentists in the preparation of prosthetic restorations for their patients and carry out the laboratory stages of prostheses.

Employment Profiles of Graduates:

They work as dental prosthesis technicians in the dental prosthesis laboratories of Faculties of Dentistry, State and Private Hospitals. In addition, graduates can work as dental prosthesis technicians in a private Dental Prosthesis Laboratory or have the authority to open a laboratory.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading:

Assessment and evaluation for students in each semester is in the form of midterm exams in two stages, practical and theoretical, and a final exam. Students are required to attend 70% of the classes. Relative system is used in measurement and evaluation.

Graduation Requirements:

Completion of 120 ECTS credits (2010 curriculum), completion of 125 ECTS credits (2014 curriculum). In addition, the GPA must be at least 2.00 at the end of the fourth semester.

 Transition to Higher Degree Programs:

Candidates who have successfully completed their associate degree education can continue their undergraduate education with the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam). Another way to continue to higher programs is to take the university exam of ÖSYM and be successful.

Facilities:

In the Dental Prosthesis Technology Program, 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor  and 1 Assistant Professor It is a member of the Committee.

 

Dental Prosthesis Application Laboratories

The Dental Prosthesis Technology Program of the Department of Dental Services, which moved to the Kartal Campus in the 2018-2019 academic year, provides education to students with completely renewed laboratory devices in its newly established laboratories in the 2019-2020 academic year.
